Victory will compete at Key West

John Moore on 27th March 2018

HE Huraiz Al Murr bin Huraiz, Chairman of the Dubai based Victory Team has announced that the ‘Boys in Blue’ will be challenging in the US this season.

Al Murr said:

We have decided to participate in the Super Boat International Championship in Key West, Florida following our 2018 strategy to raise the bar and challenge the team’s capabilities.
At Victory Team we have many World Champions who are keen to take new challenges and prove their talent.

The team have dominated UIM Class 1 over the years but since the series folded after the 2016 season, Victory haven’t had anywhere to race their big cats.

The participation in such a global event will promote the UAE and Dubai and the hosting of Expo 2020, in addition to promoting the enormous potential of the country in economic and tourism fields.

The Victory team will head to America to test on the 28th – 30th September and then travel down to Key West for the SBI races due be held between the 4th – 11th November.

It will be interesting to see if their neighbour, Abu Dhabi follow suit and enter their US built Marine Technology Inc. (MTI) hulls in November.
